The endless power-speed debate was brought into the spotlight during the fight between Cuban power fighter Guillermo Rigondeaux and Filipino speed fighter Nonito Donaire, Jr. last April, 2013. Despite many analysts favouring the latter, Rigondeaux won via unanimous decision. It was Donaire's second loss of his entire boxing career.
